This policy covers data handling for the Findr Developer API and the developer portal at developers.findr.ng. For how Findr handles missing person case data, reporter information, and tip submissions, see the main Findr Privacy Policy.
Account information: Name, email address, organization name, and a short description of intended API use, collected during developer registration.
API key metadata: The generated API key, the mode it operates in (test or live), date created, and last-used timestamp.
Usage data: Each API request is logged with the calling key, timestamp, endpoint hit, response status, and IP address. This data is used for rate limiting, abuse detection, and operational debugging.
Email verification: A verification token is sent to the registered email. We do not activate API keys without confirming control of the email address.
We do not sell, rent, or share developer information with third parties for commercial purposes.
The Findr Developer API exposes only verified, public-facing case data. We do not share, and the API does not expose:
Developer accounts and API key metadata are retained for as long as the account is active. API request logs are retained for 90 days for operational purposes, then aggregated and anonymised for longer-term analysis. Revoked keys remain on file for audit purposes.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), developers may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their account data. Email developers@findr.ng for any of these requests.
The developer portal uses essential cookies only — to maintain session state on the verification flow and to store form preferences. There is no advertising tracking, no third-party analytics, and no behavioural profiling.
We may update this policy as the Developer API evolves. Significant changes will be communicated by email to active developer account holders.
